About

Although I’ve always been fond of arts and crafts, I never imagined making a living by designing and making jewelry. My journey started in a very different place—food science. After earning my Master’s degree, I thought my path was set, but something kept pulling me towards the world of creativity.

It wasn’t until my husband and I moved to Rhode Island in 2015 that I allowed myself to fully explore this passion. I enrolled in various courses at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and it was there that I discovered my true love for jewelry and silversmith. After intensive training through RISD’s Continuing Education program, I made the decision to pursue jewelry design and making full time.

I’ve always been inspired by the beauty of nature. Whether I’m fishing, hiking, or birdwatching, I’m constantly in awe of the colors, lines, and textures that surround me. My background in science adds another layer to my work, allowing me to approach design from a different perspective. I’m fascinated by the taxonomy of plants, the structure of natural objects, and even the chemical reactions that create the vibrant colors we see in nature. These elements fuel my creativity and help me translate nature’s artistry into something tangible and wearable.

My favorite material to work with is stones with natural inclusions and textures, like lace agates or fossils, which often tell their own stories. But I never limit myself—I’m always open to experimenting with new materials and techniques that allow me to convey my ideas in fresh, unexpected ways.

Every piece I create is a reflection of the joy, wonder, and tranquility I find in nature. My hope is that my jewelry not only complements your style, but also brings a bit of nature’s magic into your life.
